1. Introduction & Scope

Grow With Quran provides premium, patient, one-to-one online Quran recitation, Tajweed, and Qaida mentorship for Muslim families across the globe, primarily serving diaspora communities in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa. We respect your family’s privacy and are committed to safeguarding personal information in strict compliance with the UK Data Protection Act / UK GDPR, EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

2. Strict Child Privacy & COPPA Compliance (Minors Under 18)

Protecting the privacy and safety of children is our highest ethical and legal responsibility:

  • Exclusive Parental Representation: We do not market to children or knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. All trial assessments, lesson enrollments, schedules, and communications must be initiated and managed exclusively by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age.
  • Limited Student Information: We collect only the minimum necessary educational data required to tailor instruction (e.g. child’s preferred first name, age bracket, and current recitation level). We never request children’s government IDs, school names, or residential home addresses.
  • Parental Supervision in Virtual Classrooms: Lessons are conducted One-to-One via secure video platforms (Zoom or Google Meet). Parents are encouraged to be present or nearby in the home during virtual sessions.
  • Vetted Faculty: All our Hafiz and Hafiza mentors undergo background vetting, identity verification, and pedagogical child-safeguarding checks prior to conducting lessons.
  • Zero Commercial Exploitation: We never sell, rent, monetize, or profile children’s data for advertising under any circumstance.

3. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information when you voluntarily provide it through our website forms or direct correspondence:

  • Parent Contact Details: Full name, email address, WhatsApp or telephone number, and preferred time zone (e.g., GMT, EST, CST, PST, AEST).
  • Educational & Goal Information: The intended student category (e.g. Child 4–7, Child 8–12, Teen 13–17, Adult Sister, Adult Brother), current Arabic reading level, specific learning goals (Noorani Qaida, Tajweed, Hifz), and optional scheduling notes.
  • Technical & Analytical Data: Anonymized server logs, browser type, device category, referring URL, and masked interaction data to monitor website reliability and technical performance.

4. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR & UK GDPR)

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: To arrange and conduct your complimentary 20-minute video assessment, match you with an appropriate tutor, coordinate lesson scheduling, and deliver educational instruction.
  • Legitimate Interests: To operate, secure, and optimize our digital platform, prevent fraud, block malicious bot attacks, and respond to parent customer support inquiries.
  • Consent: When you voluntarily submit forms on our website or opt in to receive educational resources such as our 7-Day Quran Routine Guide. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Third-Party Service Providers & Technical Processors

We engage trusted third-party technical providers strictly to assist in operating our website and delivering services. All partners are contractually bound to maintain strict confidentiality and security:

  • Web Hosting & Edge Infrastructure: Hostinger Cloud and LiteSpeed Web Server for secure site hosting, SSL encryption, and line-speed DDoS mitigation.
  • Email Transmission: FluentSMTP for routing transactional lesson notifications and parent assessment confirmations securely via authenticated SMTP protocols.
  • Website Analytics (Google Analytics 4): Used to measure aggregated website traffic. We configure GA4 with IP anonymization enabled.
  • Session Reliability Analytics (Microsoft Clarity): We utilize Microsoft Clarity to diagnose usability issues and improve navigation. Important: Strict input masking is enforced across our forms. Clarity is prohibited from recording keystrokes, passwords, phone numbers, or personal text entered into form fields.
  • Virtual Classroom Providers: Zoom Video Communications and Google Meet for private, encrypted live video instruction.

6. Data Retention & Your Right to Deletion (Right to Erasure)

We retain parent contact information and educational progress records only as long as necessary to fulfill the educational purposes for which it was gathered, or to satisfy legal and accounting obligations.

Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA, parents have comprehensive rights regarding their data:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and your family.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete contact or scheduling information.
  • Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request that we permanently delete all personal data and student progress records associated with your family.
  • Right to Restriction or Objection: Object to specific types of processing or withdraw consent at any time.

How to submit a request: Simply email our Data Protection team at privacy@growwithquran.com. We will confirm your identity and complete your request without charge within thirty (30) days.

7. International Data Transfers

Because we serve Muslim diaspora families across multiple nations, data may be processed on secure servers located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or United States. Where cross-border data transfers occur, we implement recognized safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to guarantee equivalent data protection standards.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses essential session cookies for security and site speed, and optional performance cookies to assess traffic. For full details on cookie categories and instructions to update your preferences, please consult our dedicated Cookie Policy.
